Just curious to see if anyone else on here is having problems with the Logitech Options+ software seriously misbehaving on MacOS?
From what I've read elsewhere it seems there is a fairly widespread issue.
My own experience is that when my MBP goes to screensaver/sleep/lock then the Options app will not restart on wake nor can it even be loaded. Often it requires a full restart but on occasion this doesn't even help.

It's so bad that I have actually dug my old Magic Mouse from storage! :o

It really only affects my MX Master Mouse, in that, the custom buttons don't work and the cursor movement defaults to Apple's standard which is way too slow. My MX keys keyboard is fine as I have no custom functions set on it.

Very frustrating!

I've had this happen a few times after coming out of sleep, Options+ also wouldn't load at all after upgrading to Sequoia just a spinning white circle.

I don't know if it updated after I went to Sequoia or before as after a reboot Options+ loaded up OK and gave a splash screen with the differences in this version not had an issue since then but it's only been a couple of days.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it happens. On a couple of occasions over the weekend I left the computer the same as I always do and options worked absolutely fine on wake. It's the times it doesn't load that are becoming impossible to deal with.

Famous last words… it’s been fine on my current MBP M3 14 Pro and the Mac mini M1 before that. I only really know it’s not running, as such, when the mouse grinds to a halt on pointer speed, while the app’s updating.

I’ve jinxed it now, haven’t I?

Yep , MX keys too just all of a sudden stopped working properly. I had to uninstall and reinstall logi options to the mouse back button and side buttons to work again. Never had a single issue on the old app.

I had all sorts of issues with logi options on my Mac, particularly when an update to the app released, its really poor software.

I have since installed the offline version of logi options and so far its much better.

Thanks for mentioning the offline version. I wiped the existing Options app and installed offline version - will see how that goes.

Even after 2-3 days of using the Magic Mouse and returning the MX Master it really is clear to see how much of a P.O.S the Magic Mouse is from an ergonomics point of view.

I've had the offline version installed for just over 3 weeks, not had to open it once yet, touch wood.

It's always been a massive bag of turd. Thankfully I have have few issues on my personal MBP, however my work MBP is a different story. Constantly losing settings etc. That could however be the corporate spyware interfering.

The biggest point of failure with logitech has always been their software - I enjoy using the MX master 3, but would genuinely love a few competitors.

In the meantime, I'll just console myself with the knowledge that logitech doesn't produce as much garbage as razer.

Ha. Only issue is it's a bit odd on my work Mac. Scrolling is perfectly fine in the OS, but via a Citrix Windows VDI it's absolute garbage which I never faced with Logi Options.
