Hey since installing my SSD months ago I found the dashboard widget iStat Pro would freeze up my Mac for about a minute.
I got frustrated with it and not finding a solution, I just uninstalled it. Apparently it happens with more than one manufacturer of SSDs and the solution is as simple as disabling the polling of S.M.A.R.T status.
