Turns out iv used the google toolbar to google google and then use that to get to the google home page before....

has been very flakey for me and my internet connection is perfect. It may be a routing/peering issue with a number of IP address ranges.

Google for me has been pretty slow on a few occasions today, I'm using BeThere and OpenDNS.

I'm also on Be and using OpenDNS, and Google has been sporadically reluctant to load for a few days now.

I think it's more likely that Be are having another one of their periodic routing issues, rather than an OpenDNS problem. It seems to have sorted itself out now, at least until the next time...
