Tryed 270 but it wouldnt boot the BIOS even reset because it couldnt boot.
What PRIME95 test should I run to test stability?

Is there a performance decrease when you change the multiplyer down to 4x or 3x. Im on 3x now and Ive got my 3200+ at 2.6Ghz (2.0) stock.

No change. I was running mine at 279 x5 (I forgot to change it) and got same superpi times as when I dropped it down to 3 - also had to do a bit of digging to find it in the Bios :S

in the bios i believe its called the ldt multiplyer or something very similar

Ok cool, wonder what the actual purpose of it is.
Does anyone know how I can test the stability of it and max temps?
Torture test on SuperPi got it up to 40c after 1hour on stock cooler , Im still going to have to replace that, and the fan is on reduced rpm.
