IT doesnt FIT :(

its hitting a few capacitors and they cant be moved out of the way
im sad :(
like some of them are directly under where the heatsink plate goes ._.

Yea this was the problem with that era of GPUs. The 8800 series were notorious for trying to find decent air coolers because layouts varied so much between manufacturers. What is the manufacturer?

Yea you will struggle to find an air cooler for that. Have you thought about using the original heatsink and just using a different fan? it looks like an 80mm

yer but the fan like clips on
i havnt found one like it yet

i might try the artic cooling website to see if they still sell the heatsink and fans
mhm just checked, doesnt look like they sell this one anymore

An exhaust fan? Novel approach but a normal case fan would work better I'd wager. Cable tied 2 92mm fans on an AC Accellero on my old 4850 and it did it no harm, good fans will probably be cooler/quieter than stock

Get yourself a fan then. If you don't have one 'spare' then move one from elsewhere in your case until you can purchase one. Your case wont melt because you move a front mounted fan or anything but your graphics card will if you dont fit a heatsink.

92mm fan would be best for that heatsink by the look of it. What are we talking for a 92mm fan these days?

£5 for a xilence one? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-001-XI&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=820
