Do you want help planning or showing what you've planned? If it's the latter MS Visio has lots of really cool stencils to diagram networks from conceptual models to detailed views

It was indeed the latter, and I have just taken a look at Viso and it is perfect for what I wanted to do. Doing a group presentation on Knowledge/Asset Management and wanted to design a IT System for a theoretical company

I've not found anything half as good for free. Visio has the advantage of having lots of third part stencils available as well.
