yay :D my crap heap of a banger passed, the best part of a tub of halfords gum gum and some blue peter headlamp ajusters (screws + wheel bold covers) sorted it with only 7 days to go befor we head off on staples to naples


Now we just have to dodge the rain and paint it up silver (well aluminium) and attach the fins, cableing and blender and we have our very own delorian... well sorta :D

Ahhh Ive got a soft spot for Scirrocos as I used to have a Scirroco Storm, used to love that car.

we do as well.... will scour the charity shops on the weekend - its now a nice shade of silver :) will put some photos up in the morning when i can get a decent light on it!
 
righty-o as the weathers so miserable i'll post the pics from last night, doing annother coat tonight then we have some fins to fabricate befor the press event tomorrow afternoon

as i say, annother coat is needed to get rid of some of the streaks, but its looking good so far
 
Drive it up here, the weather is fantastic :)

Its looking a little streaky, but meh, that adds to the "brushed steel" look :p

meh, bloody sothern weather :(

and yer - tis kinda streaky - but that was part of the idea, gonna be allot stricter with the second coat to make sure the streaks are all in line :)

Keep the streaks - gives it that "Assembled by half-cut Guinnes Slurpers" look. Just like the real thing!
