They did, it was done in exchange for the next Rockstar franchise to be exclusive on the PS3. It went something like as Rockstar and Sony have very close ties, Rockstar wanted to release GTA4 on both platforms at the same time and to make this a bit sweeter for Sony they said if they agreed then the next Rockstar Franchise will be PS3 exclusive. Most of this is mentioned in an interview with Jack Tretton about the PS3 rockstar exclusive but i cant find the link at the moment, but like any corporate thing best taken with a pinch of salt.

i wonder how much extra time spent on the PS3 version benefited the 360 version, after all its already been said that games developed for PS3 make the 360 versions better -
as said by the Burnout Paradise developers
 
Somone drop a Nuke on the PS3 factory please and everything will be fine and Xbox will rule the world :D
 
At the end of the day, both versions are up to their full standard unlike so many other multiplatform games, so nobody is losing out here. One guy gets vindicated, and that's it. All we can do now is wait.

if gta was out i would have been in the house playing, instead of of being out getting ******!!

I think I was one of the guys saying Nokkon was wrong, But I was hardly attacking him, I was just putting forward another possibility. Mr Men, It's called debating. They are possible believe it or not, Without the need for "attacking" and "trolling"

As for this news, Cool. Aslong as the game hurries up and get's released. I'm not too bothered which console was actually to blame.
