Lewis said nothing if the sort. Also, Lewis was still driving, it’s not like he can suddenly stop to get out. What a stupid post.

You mean there wasn't a safety car right after the crash Lewis caused which even led to Red Flag? Didn't know drivers were incapable of speaking on the radio whilst driving. What a stupid post indeed.

e:
You recall incorrectly.

Also, he was in the race, not walking back to the pits in a huff.

Fair enough. I said I didn't remember if he asked. He was as quick to blame the other driver, just like Max was today.

Ooof... Herbert and Massa going at it.

Herbert asks why Verstappen didn't back out and go across the chicane. Massa responds with "He'd never do that"

Herbert - Is that a problem?

Massa - Yes, but it's still 50:50

Imo max is losing the WDC with his persistent hard racing and refusal to yield. He still hasn't learned to pick his fights and you can't win the race before the last lap.

Only just seen it. Very difficult to call as Hamilton was coming from the pits and didn’t take a normal line through the corner because he was forced to stay wide due to the white line. Normally he would have squeezed pre corner and it would not have happened.

I agree with above comments, max hasn’t technically commit any offence by staying there. I’ve seen many comments on social media alluding to him rejoining the track unsafely, but he never left it until he was squeezed on the apex hitting the curb and bouncing back. Hamilton hasn’t particularly left space as he assumes max would yield. Personally I think it may go down as racing incident.

Has there been an investigation yet?

Saying "That's what you get if you don't leave me space". Is implying that he knew he was going to cause a collision, I always knew he was dangerous but now they really need to punish him
I'm not sure I agree that it implies he purposely wanted that to happen.
Don't forget, English isn't Max's 1st language.
He could have quite easily meant "This is what happens"/"this is what the result is", rather than "This is what I'm going to do to you".

I'm a big Hamilton fan, and I think it's all very hard but fair racing. And Verstappen did EXACTLY the same to Hamilton on Lap 1, and at Imola, so I don't think he has any right to complain about Hamiltons racing.
They're both brilliant racers, I'm enjoying the racing a lot (at least when I calm down and stop shouting at the TV).

For me if a team says:

"their fault" - racing incident
"Racing incident" - our fault
"our fault" - oh we did something unforgivably stupid
Ha, this is particularly true for Red Bull at least. I don't think I've ever really disliked a team before, but Red Bull are making a good case for that to happen.

The bias is incredible here, literally reading what you want into things that are said.
Try reading the motorsport.com comments section.....it's unreal. Bias is the least of the problems there.

They lied about what Max said, he actually said 'That's what you get when you don't leave the space'

It would be good to get the exact audio. As someone has contradicted what I wrote, although only slightly.

edit:

"That's what you get when you don't leave the space" @ 59s

Well that's seems like a nice version you've made up, was the phrase not 'That's what you get when you don't leave the space'. Nice of you to twist it in your favour.

I don't think it's much of a twist. But you are correct in the exact line. The sentiment is similar although as someone said you could be generous and put it down to poor wording.

Can someone explain to me why Mercedes pitted Hamilton when they did? I thought the whole point was he was on the hard tyres to go longer. He gets the lead, gets clear air and then they pit him? Huh?

People still ignoring the actual message and running with their own narrative.

Lol did someone really say it was damning evidence? I’ve heard it all today :D

Just because he was running hards dosnt mean he must go long, running the hards gave options to do something different to the cars in front, they probably felt they didnt need to as track position is clearly key here with it being so difficult to pass even with DRS.
