What makes the expensive one 'PROPER'?

Spending money on it makes it PROPER. You can say "Oh, I didn't cobble together some bits off eBay, save some money and learn a hell of a lot about car engines at the same time, I paid some bloke to do it PROPERLY so that if it goes wrong I can pay him more money to put it rigt again, now pass me that tenner, I need to light my fag"

Just been looking at the monarch stags site, and if you add up his figures for his holley conversion, head porting and tubular manifolds, he reckons the stag unit produces 218hp (145 stock, plus 10-15hp for the headwork (=160) plus 20hp for the holley conversion (180) plus 20% for the manifolds ( so that's +36 = 216hp)

So I'll be aiming for 220, I think. If you believe Mr Finnis' figures, then 220 sounds a reasonable target for head work, ITB's and manifolds.
