Items Lost

My old epiphone thunderbird, I sold it to a mate last christmas and I do miss it, it was my first half decent bass, played my first gig with it (and countless other gigs), made up all the songs for my first (and most successful) band, recorded my first cd with it, spent hours playing it. And the guy I bought it from was absolutely brilliant, gave it to me for a really cheap price.

Got a fender jazz '62 reissue about a year after I got the thunderbird, didn't realise how much i'd miss it until it was gone though :(

One of them? Think I had one when I was younger, also had one which jumped when pressing a button, batteries used to last about 10 mins though, cant remember what it was called, miss that one lol :(

Same chassis as that but different paintwork, it was red all over and had those 'fake' rally head lamps on it. It had full working suspension and was pretty quick, more than just your usual RC :)

my old cb.

i had a awsome set up that could reach america and was highly regarded as the best in essex.

i swapped it for a surround system.

i had so much fun with the cb and was the best fun in my life.

My Amstrad CPC464.
So I bought one from eBay 7 weeks ago. Not quite the same as mine, but I do love it :).
Just need another 100 or so games and a Joystick!

I originally sold it to buy a portable TV for an Amiga 600 I was getting for christmas.

AHA! I've still got mine, green screen and 2 joysticks :D Used to love playing on it as a kid, and leaving a game to load off cassette, having dinner, coming back and it still loading.

Oh, and the noise it makes while loading, irreplaceable! Loved that machine!

out of interest, how much did you buy yours for off the bay?

I paid £25 with a colour screen (Which I had!) (Included courier). As the power connector and tape deck were broken. I had already bought an untested one without the screen intending to make a good one out of the parts. The untested one worked fine!

ayyy the colour screen was pretty cool, though when I play mine now, I just imagine that I'm playing through nightvision goggles >.>

In a very similar vain to the OP...

The Tamiya Rough Rider.

Best Christmas I ever had was getting one of these beauties.

My parents were far from wealthy and these things cost a small fortune back in 1980. In fact it was a present that was split between my birthday in August and Christmas. I got the RC stuff (ACOM transmitter and servos) for my birthday and then had to wait for the car. The novelty of twitching a bunch of unconnected servos wore a bit thin over 4 months.

Still - my older brother built it for me over the Christmas holidays and I still have very fond memories of that time.

The original Rough Rider was a fantastic bit of kit - die cast aluminium, fibre glass chassis, oil filled metal dampers - the works. Superb bit of engineering.

Unfortunately I was too afraid to race it hard as I was too anal about it. I didn't want to scratch it!

Left redundant for a few months I decided to sell it and buy a Sinclair ZX81 from the profits... Hmmm.
