What I was thinking was to just simply cut out all junk food and drinks. Eat veggie meals and a little meat whilst doing some exercise in the form of going swimming, walking and a little bit of weight lifting for my upper-body.
I don't eat veg or fruit.
Also, people say Beer is out of the question, what about Alcopop type drinks?
Phil.
cut some bits.
You'll need to start eating fruit and Veg, it will be very difficult to eat a healthy balanced diet and avoid fruit and veg.
Alcopops are packed with additional sugar so are probably worse than beers. I never cut out on beer, I just cut down, I allow myself 2 nights a week to drink alcohol, so If I fancy a beer I can have one. Just remember though that a pint of beer = one mars bar in calories. So if you fancy an 8 pinter, it's about the same as eating 8 mars bars.
One of the reasons that you can eat rubbish and get away with it it that you are still young. Untill about 30 the body can be quite forgiving, push it past that and it will start to push back.
Swimming and walking is all good exercise, and better than none, but you'll shift more weight more quickly by upping the intensity of the exercise. If you have trouble with exercise, and find it dull, find a sport that you enjoy... join a squash club or a badminton club.
Also how about making it competitive,
my other half is about to start a bet with her sister (twin) to who can shed the most weight before easter.. she's puttin £100 down with her sister, and to get my (and her brother-in-laws) support is putting down £50 each of our money too. Find someone in similar situation and get you wallet out.
