It's a Weight Thang!

I'm 21, male, I weigh just over 11 stone, I'm about 5'9" and I'm awesome, if that makes any difference.

Right, i don't have the time to answer detail right now mate. I'll try to address everything else later.

Calories wise a man of your weight should start on 2000 per day and adjust from there. The usual advice here applies; weigh yourself after a week if you haven't lost 2 lb's or more then drop your calories by a further 200 per day. If you have lost much more than 2 lb's then add 200 calories per day and weigh again a week later.

The idea is to find a calorie level that results in a steady fat loss of no more than 2 lb per week. (This is of course assuming you want to preserve your lean muscle mass)

As for what food those calories are made up of, i'll address that later if no one else already has by then. :)

Note: "Greenlizard0" was spot on with his calorie estimations if you had weighed more. But you only weigh 11 stone therefore your calorie requirements will be less.

Another little thing, that will probably shock most of you, is that I have about 8 cups of tea a day with 4 sugars in each. That's terrible, I know it. Another little childish thing I never grew out of, but will also have to go.

Dear god man! Cut that out immediately lol! Your blood sugar level must be through the roof, with those consistent spikes throughout the day your body will be literally begging to store fat. :p

Switch to sweetners if you absolutely must.

I usually go off all that crap for lent... sweets, crisps, alcohol, pizza, chips... the lot. The difference it makes is amazing. I feel much better, until Easter Sunday hits and I stuff my face with easter eggs for the next week... then I'm just back to my old ways (I'm 24 and still have the worst ever sweet tooth!)
The guy who suggested eating 2470 cals a day "without exercise" is probably wrong, as people who aren't active don't need that many calories a day at all. And of course, it all depends on where the calories are coming from, and your build/height etc.
