Vsync is a must have for me, I can't stand tearing. If slow down becomes a problem its a simple case of pulling out credit card and buying new parts or just not playing that game till hardware has moved on.

I'd rather put up with some tearing than be so flippant with my money. I'm not going to spend money on hardware just because a game goes from 30 to 20- fps whenever v-sync is enabled.

Im with you. I find V-Sync by itself will induce mouse lag sometimes but with tripple buffering it goes away. I personally hate tearing so have Vsync and Triplple buffer forced on all the time in Nvidia Control Panel.
