Maybe it's not the hardware, maybe it's the game itself. Is the disc scratched or has it got dust on it? If not, can you take it back and exchange it for another one?

It worked fine on a mates PC from memory

i've just upgraded from windows 7 build 7057 to 7100 so i don't think that is the problem either

i know what i am looking for in memtest, whether my memory passes or not.

but what am i looking for in the other 2???
