The new plates came with screws, caps and the sticky pads :)

We're just using the pads for the cleaner look.

Wheels/Angel Eyes and maybe Sports Bumper but that's it

Oh yes

You're learning :D

Awesome car, congratulations. Love the interior colour - really hope mine has that colour but most of the Sports are Titan Silver which has the black interior :(

Why does everyone buy GB plates anyway? They look much cleaner/better with just plain letters, IMO.

I think GB plates make a car look 'newer' some how :)

X reg - when the car was facelifted. Prefacelift X reg 520i's have a 2.0 with 150bhp, post facelift have the 2.2 with 170bhp.
Ok thanks. Just wondered whether the gf's dad's Y reg 520i was the 2.2 version :)

Yes it is - suprisingly not that slow, actually. It's not going to win any races but it's quick enough not to feel woefully underpowered.

That looks a lot better. All the small touches can make a nice improvement to the overall look.

Was done by the last owner, not by us. I wouldn't have bothered debadging. But at the same time I don't dislike it enough to bother buying new badges.
Looks great but I was always a fan of the badges on those cars.

Likewise, I wouldn't purchase them separately.

Very nice car that..ideal for the longer journeys. I got some GB plates as well, makes things look much cleaner and less hassle if you decide to nip over to France etc as well.

Lovely clean car mate. Always liked these over the newer BMW's being churned out at the moment, It great condition, leather looks really nice and conditioned well.

Body work looks nice, good purchase I'd say. Not so keen on GB plates myself. but I will admit, it has really cleaned it up. Looks really nice, I'd be happy to have that. Even like the colour.

the black interior :(
We looked at other cars with a dark leather interior (black/grey) and it just didn't look nice in our opinion. The cabin just seemed so dark :/

The set of plates (from Fancyplates) was just over £30.

There are a couple of little nicks in the paintwork that we'll get sorted along with a couple bits to clean inside. But overall, it's a clean car considering the mileage :)

Its human nature to look at a car then straight down to the plate to see how old it is so a nice set of plates really freshens up the look imo.

Yep I agree. It's debadged so I didn't know what it was the first few times I was in it. I was surprised when he told me it was a 520i to be honest, as I didn't know the facelift one was a 170bhp 2.2 :)
