Who the hell makes up all the weird words for skins cream adverts or hair production?

What happen to good old soap or your mum licking her snotty hankey and rubbing it round your face?

Most of them just use the most complicated chemical way of saying it, like calling water dihydrogen monoxide.

A lot of the words they use are ones they've made up and trademarked. They try to make these fake words sound as "sciency" as possible, to make stupid women believe that they have teams of scientists working on the perfect age-defying makeup.
