Oakleys are great glasses mine cost me 500 quid prescription :(

worth it though!
How'd you get them fitted with prescription lenses?
I've always wanted a pair of oakleys, but with needing glasses and hating contacts, it's a bit impossible.

There are plenty of Oakley glasses available, and providing your prescription isnt really really strong you shouldnt have any worries: :)

(thats assuming you're a bloke, womens are available too) :)

Neon £500 is a fair bit, did you get photochromic lens or something?

I heard only 1 Optician per town can sell them. Batemans is the optician that sells them in my town. :)

my 2nd pair of oakleys now. First pair was stolen along with my Head Unit when car was broken into.

if you can get over paying £99 for a pair of plastic sunglasses, they look amazing and they very ergonomic

Sorry to bring this topic back up.

Does anybody know of any sunglasses that are suitable for driving? I did have some cheapy ones but they were slightly magnified so made my view slightly different and i didnt feel safe driving whilst wearing them. I am basically looking for a pair that will give me the same perspective that my eyes give me, no magnifying and slight curvyness, make sense? hope so. Budget of upto £150.

Thanks, Mark.

well my oakley xx metal sunglasses are perfect for driving, no magnification, just perfect clarity vision.

from memory they weren't cheap, about £220 i think.

Wow this thread has risen from the grave!

Actually i ordered a pair yesterday! A pair of Black Polarized Oakley Half Jacket XLJ's.

Thos are the ones I'm interested in which have polarised lenses so good for driving with.

I looked at oakleys first but unfortunately ray ban designs seem to suit me better.

Nice and comfy. Not too dark or too light either.
that's one of the few pairs of aviators i like, the rest are so unbelievably "i do sports that require specialist shades, but actually do bugger all" and ugly with it that i don't think i could wear a pair. classic style glasses look so much better. having glasses moulded into your eye sockets like most oaks looks a bit stupid... it makes your head look small or something

Go to a shop, see what suits you?
You can't seriously expect us to recommend a pair of sunglasses.

I like the black chunky raybans I've had for donkeys years, got some oakley wraparounds that just aint as comfy.
