Where should I go for a blast?

Got the A640 and the Cat and Fiddle within striking distance to give you some idea of location - but I wouldnt mind trying somewhere new and just as great.

Any suggestions? If there are, anyone fancy a drive and then a nice cool beverage in a local pub or something?

Gah!
I am sat in waiting for the bloke from Chipsaway, who now rang and told me he will be late so I could have been out having a blast. Then I start work in 30 minutes :(

Cat & Fiddle, now!

Infact, go through Macclesfield to the A54, up the A54 to where it meets the A537 (Cat & Fiddle) then back down into Maccelsfield.

Awesome route that has seen a fair few members of the forums airborne before now ;)

EDIT: Damn shame your doing it today and not tomorrow, I'm stuck in work 30 miles away today, whereas tomorrow I'm off :(

hmm.. might try this Cat and Fiddle route

so i if go to Congleton, then take the road to buxton where do i go next? (or am i in the completly he wrong direction)

Coming from tunstall (where the propper pot banks are para!)

If there is enough juice in the tank, I wouldnt mind a tasty panini in the cat and fiddle with a nice ice-cold glass of coke tomorrow, if you're up for it.

You will of course leave me for dead both knowing the road and having a much, much faster car... Mine is louder though :p

You've already done some of the road but i'm not sure if you got to the C&F because we had lost you within 2 mins!

If you go out of Congleton how we did on the Cheshire Meet, then that is the A54. You get right to the top of that until you get to a T Junction, then go Left. This takes you past the Cat & Fiddle and back down into Macclesfield.

Give me a yell (MSN: paradigmocuk@hotmail.com) if you are about tomorrow!

Right, unless someone comes up with a super-amazing road, its the A640 tonight in all probability followed by a cat and fiddle blast / lunch/dinner/food/whatever at the top tomorrow :)

Come one, come all! :p

that roads only a 50limit, how do you guys have fun ;)

Children are consumed at an alarming rate. Schools are emptied as people drive that road!

The twisties ;)

Or get about 1/4 of the way down and turn off onto some of the un-named roads that go past the top end of Macclesfield Forest ;)
