Hi all
I'm running a fairly old setup by todays standards, the above topic card with an X64 3500+ running 2gig DDR on an Asus A8V Deluxe.
Currently i'm a bit of an MMO addict, WoW mainly (plz resist the flaming
) which runs fine on my current setup.
However with newer gen games like AOC and WaR coming out, they are going to need some fairly decent system setup.
Considering how AGP is a dead interface, I believe the best available for it is the 1950 Pro? I'm just wondering what kinds of differences I'm likely to see in general if i just replaced my x800 for this? Double the difference? If so job well done, and it might do for something like AoC? Or you think the difference would be negligable in which case I'd have to push towards a PCI-E mobo.
Which if I kept my current socket 939 a64 chip, memory would only be ddr, are all those going to HUGELY bottleneck any sort of decent performance out of the higher end pci-e cards? I'm guessing so...
Just wondered if anyone could offer a little advice! Much thanks in advance for anyone doing so.
