It's that time again, how many Amazon orders have you placed in 2021?

2020 was the highest at 116, since then it's been around 50 each year except for this year which has dropped to 38.

I can see next year being even less, don't much care for fast deliveries these days, and Argos seems to be better quality.

As few as possible. I absolutely detest Amazon. They treat their staff like crap, they promote chinesium copycat crap over the companies that actually invest in the R&D of these products, they hide negative reviews and not blatantly false reviews, they do absolutely nothing to support local communities or charities, they don't even support any sporting outfits. They literally take your money, put it in their pockets and then shrug.

Nah, I'll support someone local rather.

The sooner I get my wife off the parasite that is Amazon the better.
Well said.

Only 107 orders for me

60
I should buy more amazon stock.

is it popular with students? most of the student apartments around here seem to have lockers
Probably not much more popular than with other groups, but if there are a lot of student apartments it's probably more cost effective/efficient for amazon to have the lockers there than have drivers running to individual apartments, or the cost of losing packages by leaving them "behind the bin".

I've noticed the likes of the amazon lockers (and a couple of others) turning up in places like my local morrisons both in the store and petrol station, homebase (I'm sure they had one), I think there is a set next to the post office, and at least one operated by someone else in the town centre.
The common factor seems to be either high passing traffic, or near where there are a lot of residences without easy access to the individual doors.

2024: 28
2023: 24
2022: 27
2021: 24

I couldn't imagine buying 100 things in a year unless it was groceries. I was surprised it was an average of 2 items a month tbh.

Lockers seem to be disappearing from my area, some local convenience store had theirs removed and a local petrol station has had theirs changed for some royal mail locker which I have no idea how you actually get parcels sent to it.

There does appear to be loads of Amazon counters though but then you have to queue and speak to people or be restricted by opening times.

71 this year, though I do also use it for work...
86 2023
79 2022
99 2021
101 2020

probably not too bad, I did go through a phase of having a lot of subscribe and save bits for the cats, but now just do a Costco trip every couple of months...

Yup 100%, Amazon are a greasy company.

Ye gods. Being unable to work for a bit is expensive.
