Hello all,

I feel the need to reformat. I'm running out of files to delete on my hard drive so I want to format to get rid of all the large files that I know I've put in temporary directories over the past year or two.

I currently have:

2 x 200GB Seagate SATA (1 has at least one bad sectors and needs RMAing)
1 x 500GB WD SATA (External)

Some options are:

  1. Reformat keeping the current system the same. (RMA the bad sectored hdd)
  2. Reformat but use RAID 1. (RMA the bad sectored hdd and put thew one back in when it comes back from Seagate).
  3. Reformat and use RAID (insert your reply here).
  4. Your suggestion.
Either way I want to send back the bad sectored hard drive before it starts failing, but I want to continue to use my computer and get a reformat done before the end of my Easter break (next friday).

By the way, how do you guys lay out the way you store files? E.g. one on hard drive you create C:\Movies C:\Documents D:\Games, etc? I've been putting Games on the non-boot Seagate hdd but the registry entries aren't saved so I might change that.
