It's The Principle....."Epic Win"

So eight people have just been given a fivers worth of food a day for a month because one person whinged that their pasty didn't have enough filling?

So that's 25*5 (because they're not open on Sundays), £125 per person, eight people, that's £1000.

A shop that's already cutting back their fillings has just given away £1000 (retail value) of food over the period of a month.

Why doesn't this sound right to me? I'm not normally suspicious of claims on here but this really makes me want to call shenannigans.

Was my first thought too. Probably depends how busy of a location it was. I imagine they get through more than £1k per month worth of fillings at busy places.

ahh yum a sausage roll sitting under a 100 Giga watt light bulb for 10 hours nothign like it :( i want one now

This - although I doubt many people will actually claim on it....

Also.

Enjoy your road to obesity :)

It's no Bull, ok yea £1000 of retail value of food cost to Greggs will be what? £200 - £250 at a guess think about it!

And yes it's always a very busy one come 12:00 - 12:30 the queue can be 30 40 people strong due to the College & Business park what 200 yards up the road, I'd say it's a £2500 per day ish takings well week days anyway, It's quite big for a Greggs too has about 12 people serving most of the day!

I've noticed a definite decrease in certain products too in recent times, notably chicken kievs, sausage rolls, etc. It ****s me off actually.

This a wind up?

Only a idiot would go to a Greggs mass produced crap.

Got 2 large independent pie shops in Wigan plus a few small ones dotted about, fillings a plenty and they have being going for decades in town.

Plus they are produced at large factory and baked in store so how would the manager know what goes in the products.

Greggs used to do an egg/tomato/mayo baguette for £1.25, it was such a bargain and so tasty, was limited offer though, when it came back was £1.50 (still a good deal) but then it went and never came back :(

Everythings going the same, It got me really wound up when i went to buy a Yorkie bar from my local Tesco Express to find it's gone from a 64.5g bar to a 54g bar and it costs the same..... :-)

I also notieced that the price sign in Tesco still stated it was a 64.5g bar, once I complained they removed the sign and it's yet to be replaced with a new one - I see these things all the time and more so over the past year.
Instead of putting prices up there reducing the amount you get for ya money.

Just keep an eye out you will see what i mean
