This week's weather is ideal for people who come from hot countries where temperatures easily reach 45C+, for holidays. To them this weather is very nice

The women are out today!!!!!!
35'C at my desk at work, and still climbing. About to murder the Health & Safety manager to be honest! Surely there must be a maximum working temperature.
Afraid not
The law does not state a minimum temperature, but the temperature in workrooms should normally be at least:
16°C, or
13°C if much of the work is physical.

Don't worry, temps set to drop to the late teens at the weekend.

Wow after moving to Canada I find it so stupid at the amount of people in the UK who FREAK out when the weather changes just a little.
Yes you get about 3 days of snow a year and freak out and the whole country stops then it gets a little hotter than normal and someone needs to create a thread on it?
sigh

Theres actually people who leave nice countries and come to UK for a holiday?
I had this argument with my last employer as my office was on the 8th floor on a roof terrace with direct sunlight all day.. temps would reach around 35-40 easily and was crazy hot. We weren't provided with water and they didn't really care. We were given a desk fan to help cool the office which did nothing but move the hot air around and I hated it... used to get migraines and things all the time
Unlike other countries we aren't set up for extremes. We don't have AC, we don't have well insulated houses, we don't have infrastructure to cope with snow, we don't have storm drains, we don't have wardrobes of extreme clothing, we aren't climatised etc etc. The entire country is set up for mild weather.
Have you never been to London? There's literally millions of the brown skinned folk.
Every year we have at least 3 weeks of very hot weather (not nescerily consecutive weeks) and at least one very heavy downpour of snow. We have done since I was a kid, and yet there is a lack of money spent on the infrastructure to deal with this even though it happens on a yearly basis. It's kind of lol really.
Best thing I ever did was get AC in a car. Even if you're only in the hot weather driving for 30 minutes it will be the WORST 30 minutes of your life.
