It's too hot :(

The women are out today!!!!!!

It's true what someone on TV said once "Beautiful women in England are solar powered"

lol, went down like a lead balloon when he said it but he's spot on! :D

35'C at my desk at work, and still climbing. About to murder the Health & Safety manager to be honest! Surely there must be a maximum working temperature.

I had this argument with my last employer as my office was on the 8th floor on a roof terrace with direct sunlight all day.. temps would reach around 35-40 easily and was crazy hot. We weren't provided with water and they didn't really care. We were given a desk fan to help cool the office which did nothing but move the hot air around and I hated it... used to get migraines and things all the time

Wow after moving to Canada I find it so stupid at the amount of people in the UK who FREAK out when the weather changes just a little.

Yes you get about 3 days of snow a year and freak out and the whole country stops then it gets a little hotter than normal and someone needs to create a thread on it?

sigh

Unlike other countries we aren't set up for extremes. We don't have AC, we don't have well insulated houses, we don't have infrastructure to cope with snow, we don't have storm drains, we don't have wardrobes of extreme clothing, we aren't climatised etc etc. The entire country is set up for mild weather.

And of course different people like different things. Some like it hot, some like it dressing, most people like it somewhere in the middle.

Yep, sounds like our place. Although my desk fan broke, and I'm yet to receive a new one.

I don't complain if it's too cold, I can put a jumped on, but what am I suppose to do in this heat? I asked if I could remove my trousers, my request was denied :(

Roll on the weekend, and the rainy goodness

Every year we have at least 3 weeks of very hot weather (not nescerily consecutive weeks) and at least one very heavy downpour of snow. We have done since I was a kid, and yet there is a lack of money spent on the infrastructure to deal with this even though it happens on a yearly basis. It's kind of lol really.

Best thing I ever did was get AC in a car. Even if you're only in the hot weather driving for 30 minutes it will be the WORST 30 minutes of your life.

hows it lol worthy?
LOL worthy would be spending 100s of millions a year for it to sit around not being used. we do not get enough extreme weather to justify the expense, which is why we just cope with it and complain.
