It's too hot :(

Really need some decent rain. Everything is dying, even the trees. No breeze, brutal today. Lots of gardening jobs to do, chasing the shade and doing a little at a time. Still end up sweating buckets within a few minutes though.
Yeah the people saying they're happy there's no rain forecast should have a word with the farmers. Down here crops are starting to fail. Even cereal crops.
Been seeing that a lot, dried out hay instead of lawns. Been like 2 weeks since rain and the weather app on my phone says no rain for the next week either.
Been well over a month without proper rain here. We've had near misses, like rain that literally lasts for 10 mins then immediately evaporates. But no real penatrative rain for well over a month.

It's really odd.

Well at 4am it's finally just about cool enough to try to get some sleep.

**** this weather. Going to be a zombie at work tomorrow.

My kitchen is generally cool and is the coolest place in my house. It was 23c in there this morning....

Also, couldn't sleep last night, woke up about 6 times. I'm cranky today.

This summer can suck my ****. Can't wait for it to be over.

I like and appreciate the nice weather but not when it's for this long or at this intensity. Struggling to get to sleep whilst you're sweating/festering is no fun.

A bit of sun for more than a week and the media are going crazy about water shortages.

a lot of places havent had proper rainfall in a while tho, the hot weather depletes what we have even more. Best to pre warn people at the end of the day. Not that its going to become an issue tbh

Hasn't rained here for a good 3 weeks now and no sign of it coming over the next 10 days.

31/32c highs here today, was 24c when i *tried* to sleep at 11.30 last night.

It's a shame we aren't like one of those island type countries that's surrounded by water!!

You do know it's sea water don't you. It's not about reserves either it's processing capacity. We just need to invest in more processing, bit it's not really viable when it would only be needed for such a short period for 1 in 10 years.

The media is full of ill informed BS

The problem isn't shortage of water, there's plenty of water in our reservoirs, the problem is demand outstripping the supply capability of the system

Maybe they could report proper news and inform people so they can complain to water utilities to improve their infrastructure to cope with increased demand during summer weather

Yes but surely with this climate change these will be more frequent and last longer? Also yes I understand it is sea water but we should never run out, the fact that the population has increased so much and I have heard about hose pipe bans for 30+ years they should have really planned for this?

We need to separate drinking water from water you flush the toilet/shower with etc. with, it makes no sense that all of our water needs to be the same quality
