It's too hot :(

One of the towns I drive through to work had it drop to just under 3C last night and frost on the cars - didn't see it under 7C myself and mostly around 10C around where I work and live.

This is well down in the south.

i am over 40 years old and i never remember such a hot autumn here in Greece, its literally an extension of summer. I also dont remember such cloudless skies for over 20 days now, not a single cloud in sight. And its going to be this way up until 10th of November and maybe beyond. Whoever booked holidays on the cheap these days is a lucky fella, sea is very warm too.

Yeah it is certainly miles warmer than we are used to in the UK in October, quite frightening how fast this global warming seems to be happening.

Last year I made it to early November before I had to turn the heating on. Since then I've had a new kitchen door fitted as I had so many drafts from the old wooden door. With the mild weather we're getting and the better insulated house I wonder if I'll be able to get into mid or even late November before I have to put the heating on. Good for saving money but scary as to why this is happening.

It has been very warm here, overnight temps in particular.

Getting very frightening around Southampton, rain lashing down too.

Weird day here - started cool and very heavy rain, suddenly the sun has come out, it has cleared right up and you'd think it was mid-Spring.

Took the dog to the beach on Sunday.

People were playing in the sea, doesn't sound right for the end of October.
Apparently around October is one of the best times for sea swimming sure to the general temperatures rising over summer? Might want to fact check it though

Oh dear. Isn't it just that the gulf stream is a bit further south so we are getting warm wet weather? Everyone is so quick to blame "global warming".

Thew water is now as hot as it will get after a summer of heating, its actually colder in on those glorious early hot days in May when we all flood to teh beach.
