It's too hot :(

Was rewarded with an outdoor lunch as we have a quiet day today!

( Greatly appreciated as we are located in a hardened building designed to withstand a large blast )

The yanks sorted us out with a BBQ and we had an awesome lunch! The yanks sure love their burgers! Best BBQ meat i've had for ages!

thinking of picking up an air con unit as I haven't been able to sleep for the past 4 nights due to the heat and humidity

No idea what an 'air cooler' is as opposed to an air conditioner but it's cheap and doesn't look too bad. Yay or Nay?

Personally - Nay.

It uses ice or water in a tank to cool, so it's not an air conditioner in the sense that one might think. Try and find a domestic aircon unit designed for the bedroom - they are available - you ought to be able to find a decent one for less than £200.

I dont envy the people who don't have AC in their office. It's just like a normal day with it on, don't even notice any heat!

They wont pay the money to install it. They blame it on the asbestos in the ceiling when in fact they just dont want to fit it.

Their Answer was to fit a large extractor fan... which Does nothing to room temp.

We have the School servers in here and the room is around 33c

Made the mistake of going for a run at lunch time. Wow its hot out there, had a shower but still feel horrible and sticky. No AC in the office doesn't help at all.

The can just put wall mounted ac units and run the pipe work in trunking that's what we have done for various locations without sufficient asbestos removal

I'd like to George but I want something without exhaust or vent pipes or anything like that. Basically just something that cools better than a fan can.

The dyson fans might do the trick but they're way too expensive

I'm melting.

stupid pc wouldn't turn on just now either shut it down but left the power on at the wall.

boot options seemed to have magically changed to the wrong order LOL, had to set ssd to boot device :S
