I have had the previous model of this for 4 years now. As someone who dies when it gets above 15c, it is my life support machine in the summer. Noisy (as with all portable AC units), but highly recommend folks investing in one.

It's currently a bit warm, I'm sure it'll be just lovely at work tonight. It was 25 degrees most of the night last night and we had a brief storm that dropped it by a few degrees, but didn't do much for the temperature inside.

10 days of summer, 355 days of cloud, rain and cold.

Yep, cant stand the moaning when its hot or cold.

I'd guessed that its been 7/8 months since we last had proper "nice" weather like this and night temperatures in double digits.

The cold lovers get the majority of the year as it is!

We are staying in an Airbnb in Buxton for a few days drove up this morning from East Anglia and it's much cooler here.

The house is an old stone building and it's almost cold inside.

Reckon we've lucked out.

Same here as 34-36°C here next week with the overnight temps being 17-18°C.

The trick with old stone houses is that you open the windows to let cool air in first thing in the mornings and shut them by 10:00. The problem is when it’s still in the 20s at 07:00, there is no cool air to be had.

As much as I love summer it really does kill my sleep, too warm to get to sleep and awake at 6am, feel like poop and loads to do, oh well

I'm just going to wheel out the aircon unit if it gets to that left it too late last year when I finally put it on i was like christ, why didn't I do this before? It must be that boiled frog syndrome they keep talking about.

It was the perfect temperature by the coast today. Sea was very still.

33C for Monday and Tuesday back home. 30C here according to the met office. Warm at night too, so rooms aren’t going to cool much.

I got the same one yesterday, I've thought about getting one over the last few years but we have a 7 week old baby now and the wife is worried about her overheating, seemed like the perfect excuse to get one.
