It's too hot :(

Spare a thought for us gym rats who were doing squats/leg day yesterday in that heat....with NO air con or windows to open.

Still managed a PB of 185kg on the squat though :D

My home gym is in the loft and haven't missed one workout so far but have to do it really early otherwise it gets way to hot , actually did PR on bench and weighted dips yesterday

Not sure the extra motivation is because it's t-shirt weather lol

Looks like today is the peak of the heat over here and temps will start to drop gradually tomorrow and over the weekend.

Heat is being shunted to the west from tomorrow and over the weekend, so the south west region will get the higher temps.
There is "apparently" a cold front on the way.....

I do agree it is hot but after months and months of pitiful rain and coldness I feel like this heat is well deserved!!

I definitely wouldn't want it permanently like this!

No that's fair, I do like seasons. Even though I find the cold uncomfortable, frosty winter's day when it's sunny is lovely.

, frosty winter's day when it's sunny is lovely.

Yup agree on that. Crisp cold but bright.

To be honest with you I don't even mind if it's raining, as long as it's raining properly, particularly in the summer and I love a good thunderstorm.

What I can't stand is grey, cold and damp. And we get waaaaaaay too much of that in this country, it's why our cars rust and we don't really build houses from wood.

Think today is supposed to be the hottest day, and I happen to be staying away with work and this hotel has pretty good air conditioning.

I'm sat in my room now having a couple of cheeky cans of Gamma Ray and if anything it's getting a bit chilly in here.

I remember Christmas last year when we had a good week or so (or maybe longer, can't remember) of dry, crisp cold and sunny weather. Not a white Christmas, sure, but I do love when it's sunny and dry in winter. It was perfect!

Yup it's good for the solar panels as well, I mean solar systems are mostly redundant over winter, but even mid December if you get those bright crisp days you can still generate a fair chunk to knock off your use. It feels so much better to generate a little energy in winter than a lot during summer, oddly.

Was reading through the met office YouTube channel comments no surprise most are not enjoying it but also few comments from older folks who say are really struggling

Yeah. Cold dry winters are lovely.
Warm dry summers are great.

Its the months of gloom I can't take. If you're gonna rain... Rain. Wish the clouds wouldn't just loiter around not raining. Such a waste!

Well with strict window discipline and keeping the curtains drawn I've kept it very slight cooler inside than outside 32.5 v 32C Though I expect to lose this fight soon. Not looking forward to the evening when the humidity rises

At least another week of this particularly hot spell.

Should peak at 32c here tomorrow apparently.. There hasn't been any real cold spells though since last time so my brickwork is easier to warm up though.
Plus no breeze so the next few nights are going to be a bit grim.
