Its Wireless time!

I need some personal advise in plain english.

I currently have a very good USB Modem, but now that I am getting a PS3, it is time for me to go wireless, so as I can have both the PC & the PS3 online at the same time.

This is where my trouble begins, as I have no knowledge of what I need to buy for this to happen. Hopefully nowadays it is easy to do as I know it was potentially problematic in the past.

My PC & bedroom is separated by a wall, so the signal strength of the signal should not be an issue, I just dont want anything that is difficult to do.

I have an ADSL 2mb unlimited connection if that matters?

Hi

You need an ADSL modem/router with built in wireless something like a Netgear DG834G

They are very easy to setup and are reliable.

Will you be going wireless on your PC as well or using an ethernet connection to the PC and only using wireless for the PS3?

Well if I just plugged it into where the main telephone extention is I would need wireless for both my PC & PS3, but if I use the telephone lead I have coming from parents bedroom to the computer room, I would just use an ethernet cable for my PC and have the wireless singly for the PS3 in the next room.

Would it matter if I was using a wireless connection for both the PC & PS3?

Everything is covered the only hardware you need is the ADSL Wireless router, assuming the PC/PS3 has a wireless card/dongle?

You can connect 100's of wireless devices to any particular router

so uve no problems using 2.
