Does this mean I have to have two copies of all my films/tv series?

AVI for pc, Mp4 or MOV for my iPhone4?

Or is there anyway of making my iPhone4 accept AVI's? I've never really used Apple products or file types because QuickTime player stutters and freezes a lot when playing mov or mp4 files, yet other file types don't do this, like avi's or mkv's?

So do i really have to convert my collection's to Mp4? :( I have a free app that can do this but its not ideal when im low on space already.

Or stream it from Air Video? Thats what I do I got fed up converting everything I wanted to watch...

(Although as it happens, Air Video does the best conversion job I've seen if you want to use it like that, then you can keep the mp4 files...)
