ITV just got on my nerves a bit. I'm watching terminator 2 at the minute and the scene where Arnie's chip has been cut from his head has been cut. Why? It's 12:15 dammit!!!!

end mini rant lol :p

They'll just have a cut version that they play irrespective of the time. The film you (and me) are watching now will be the same one they would play at 8pm on, say Xmas day. They don't have multiple copies of the same film just for different times of day.*

*this is a guess, but it makes sense.

i hate it when running man is on channel 5 or wherever and they cut the swearing out from the woman who gets picked to choose the killer. spoils the film!

If it makes you feel any better im just as angry at the channel 4 for doing the same thing to the simpsons. On most the really good classic episodes they cut out the "offecnsive bits" like when apu gets married and bart+lisa are asking his mother about "the dot" on her fore head.

Complaining to ofcom achives nothing :(

Robocop's "why me? why me?" hotly followed by "once, I even called him... airhead" always make me chuckle. Especially when you can see them still potty mouthing off!

You think that's bad, just look at Dave censoring all the comedy shows they keep repeating. They went out un-bleeped on the BBC originally, yet the morons behind the "itero ad infinitum" policy on that channel deem it necessary to censor them now.

The bit where Arnie has the chip removed and reprogrammed was only in the directors cut. If they're only showing the theatrical cut it makes a lot of sense that it's not in there.

Scarface the TV version is pretty legendary, check the clip on youtube if you haven't seen it yet. Can't link as it also contains the original un-edited lines.

I hate the censoring of scrubs on paramount comedy, it just makes certain scenes make no sense at all.

Like one episode where Heather Locklear guest stars and says to Dr Cox "Plomox is the most effective anti-arrhythmic drug on the market right now. And it has minimal side-effects: Only nausea, impotence, and anal leakage". To which Dr Cox replied "I'm getting two out of three just from the conversation".

now when Dr Cox's bit is not cut, and locklears bit is cut to "Plomox is the most effective anti-arrhythmic drug on the market right now", what dr cox says makes no sense.

Every single episode of scrubs on paramount comedy is like that, with whole scenes cut from it, and since each episode is only 22min long, a cut scene can make a huge difference.

Cutting bits out of a violent film is one thing, cutting bits out of a comedy is just stupid.
