ITV claims game footage as 'real life recording' (IRA program from the other night)

That is absolutely pathetic...

If nothing else, they should have figured it out from the terrible and inconsistent framerate :p

For some inexplicable reason, the YouTube uploader is the one who presented the video as a real-life video recording of a PIRA attack

Dont know what is more funnier, someone pretending it was actual IRA footage and putting it on youtube

Its a machinima film, we are allowed to pretend and make believe (much like kids do).

The original youtuber has done nothing a lot of people wouldnt have done. It's pretty obvious it isnt actually real.

I wonder how many of you if you had watched this documentary live, without reading this thread first, would have picked up on it?
I will admit I watched it live and just thought it was a really bad mobile phone film.
It also doesn't help that I was also posting on here at the time so not concentrating fully but even if I was I still don't think I would have cottoned on.

I spot a money making scheme here......

HD capture card......

A)capture GTA4 footage and sell to ITV of the latest gun nut on a rampage
B) capture Gears of war footage and sell to ITV as alien invader footage
C) profit

Brilliant. ITV slowly but surely lowering the broadcasting standards.

How does something get past all the levels and people before it's shown? Really? Human error? It's a string of human errors.

Surprise surprise... .journalists who obviously are not checking/verifying their sources. Idiots.

Anyone else notice how the truck seems to jump out the group slightly as the "camera" pans to the left? (at around 43 seconds)
