Hi all,

Currently looking to down size my current build however I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on which ITX board is best to be paired with a 3700X.

The board will be paired with a GTX1080 and may have some overclocking in the future

So far I've seen these:
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £473.07 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Previously I've used ASUS boards as I have always liked their fan control software however from what I have read up so far they aren't great for the VRMs and are quite expensive however if I'm wrong I'm happy to be pointed in the right direction :)

MSI B450I has the best VRM of all B450 boards with 6x 60A IR3555s.
It would take easily 12/16 cores.

Yeah, it looks like the best "bang for buck" motherboard at the moment until B550 appears from the video chippy08 posted earlier. It looks like the one im siding with as it's less than half the cheapest X570 ones

will those b450 boards you linked support ryzen 3000 out of the box? Or do you need to do a bios update with an older cpu first?

already updated bios & with 3000 ready orange sticker on the front of the box

Glad to know at least some manufacturers are doing this! Be lovely to see e-tailers listing it too though... I'm fancying an ITX Ryzen 3xxx build for the office, but I'm dithering over buying because I don't want the faff of discovering it's not updated and now I've got to wait on AMD to send me a different CPU so's I can flash the bios. That would kill any chance of self-building other PCs for work ever again and we'll all be stuck with horrible pre-built desktops for the next 20 years :(

Swear you could just ask overclockers to flash for you.

Of the B450 ITX boards, the Asus is generally regarded as the best all-round.

Between the MSI and the Gigabyte it comes down to priorities. The MSI has better VRMs. But the Gigabyte has better on-board sound, Bluetooth 5.0, Intel Gigabit LAN, more USB 3 ports, and a front mounted M.2 slot with heatsink. If you use motherboard RGB, I gather Mystic Light is a little bit less crap than RGB Fusion.

Not sure how the X570 boards compare as I've never been in the market for one (too much money for minimal gain for someone running a stock 2600).

I have the Asus myself, and it was the best all-round B450 mini-ITX motherboard for a CPU IMHO. The Gigabyte is better for an APU IMHO.

However, the OP realises that there will be no Zen3 for the B450,and maybe not even Zen2 refresh or Renoir either. This is despite the Asus having a 6+1 phase VRM and a 32MB BIOS chip.
