I've applied to go on Question Time

Wehey, thought sod it. I really enjoy the show and its near to me soon!

The 2 questions i've put forward are:

1) With the lack of availability for 1 bedroom homes and the recent high court ruling over the bedroom tax, its now made social housing unaffordable. This ultimately increases homelessness and adds further pressure to local authorities and national debt. Does the panel think it’s time to re-look at the fairness of this tax and time we stopped forcing the most poor amongst us to foot this austerity bill. Perhaps the government can come up with a “we’re all in this together” attitude.

it has....

Oh please do go on QT and ask yet another question about the bedroom tax...

My topic of choice would also be housing. But a fairly blunt question on how is it acceptable that [a] people earning average salaries can't buy small flats to live in and that previous and current governments seem to be happy with the status quo of bricks and mortar in the south east earning more per annum than some/most workers.

Something along those lines anyway. I'd also call for renters to be protected far more.

Shorter questions do better. If a long query does get through, there's so much room for manoeuvre you might as well ask the panel to talk for a bit about their fav topic.

As for being on telly: don't concentrate on the cameras, decide on what you are going to say in advance, stick to your inner script and hold eye contact with the person you're addressing. Should keep the nerves down. If all else fails, pretend everyone else is naked!

Haha! They never answer the questions anytime it is on.

2) With the recent farce and unethical practises shown by multinational companies, what does the panel think of the future proposal for the UK to enter into the TTIP? Mr Cameron can barely secure us a token gesture from Europe. So handing substantial powers to these companies seems like a disastrous plan.

Anybody here been on the show before, not sure if i will get accepted let alone be allowed to ask the above questions! Hope it get in tho, not ever day you get the chance to make a complete **** of yourself on Live TV :D
Both your questions are too emotive, but I've seen worse on QT.

i've been on question time. they offered my the position 10am in the morning on the day of the show. it was one of the great shows if people remember it in london with boris johnson and the **** pointless guest that is russell brand.

the question i put when applying was about 6 months before the show. i thought it was stupid way to apply as the questions asked are almost always something that has happened within the last 2/3 days at max, sometimes within the last 2/3 hours.

when getting ready for the show you're asked 2 more questions again. think about what happened yesterday that's making news and ask something about that. the same questions get put into a pile and the ones that get picked are the ones with the highest pile, supposedly because this way the audience has the best chance of having an opinion.

you're then unlikely to be the one that asks the question, but there's a good chance you may be able to make a comment when david picks randomly from the audience.

Too emotive and too badly written. Lack of availability *of* 1 bedroom homes. There are no 'court ruling over the bedroom tax' because like it or loath it, it's not a tax. Keep your questions well written and objective and you might stand a better chance.

2) With the recent farce and unethical practises shown by multinational companies,

Again, more emotive and poorly worded introductions - what recent farce? A 'recent farce shown by multinational companies' makes no sense. You need to be more specific and less emotive.

A shame really as they were probably fairly interesting points but I can't imagine they'll make it through sifting.

Those questions are not nearly enough Left wing to get on Question Time, if you are not wearing a Breton cap and carrying a little red book you won't even get in the door.

Emotive yes, poorly written maybe.... Point is still valid, dont have to have a master degree in English to push a point across.

I'm not bothered at all if my question get read out. Just want to see it live.

Under occ charge/ bedroom TAX... Who cares. I see daily the results of it.

Not to post on an internet forum, no, but if you wish to get your view on national television it can't hurt to ensure you've worded everything correctly and remained as objective as you can, surely?
