I've applied to go on Question Time

1) With the lack of availability for 1 bedroom homes and the recent high court ruling over the bedroom tax, its now made social housing unaffordable. This ultimately increases homelessness and adds further pressure to local authorities and national debt. Does the panel think it’s time to re-look at the fairness of this tax and time we stopped forcing the most poor amongst us to foot this austerity bill. Perhaps the government can come up with a “we’re all in this together” attitude.
Well, for a start, you need to get your facts right. It's not a tax. It was removal of a benefit that actually would have had an inflationary effect on house prices.

OP has all the key words except use of 'morally', just need that one and you have the full set to be on QT.

Listen dude, i'm a housing office... Its called the bedroom tax. We refer to it and Under Occ charge... I know exactly what it is, what the reduction rate is, who it applies to, what the exemptions are, how to get a bedroom re-classified to name but a few...

I've been to Brewer's Big Debate twice and went to one of the independence debates. The whole thing is significantly biased against the Tories.

How is a reduction in benefits a 'tax'?

But not a shop I assume?

It's nice to see your workplace isn't politicised.

Yeah, we arent allowed an opinion you see! Although its more an opinion based on a multitude of first-hand accounts. As opposed to where most people get their info, Channel 5 benefits Britain.... but meh. Go tories defo doing the right thing for these people and equally sharing the burden of this austerity .

You love to get hung up on the small things hey... As you've quite rightly pointed out, it isn’t a tax, however the name is widely associated with under occ charges.

Didn't get in last time.... Questions weren't relevant enough.

So now its in Wales... I've gone for two country related relevant questions:

1) With the recent rise of UKIP in Wales and the election of the new UKIP leader, who stated she wants to unify the party in Wales. How are the other parties going to stop their rise within Wales?

2) With the recent boundary changes, Wales will stand to lose more MPs. This coupled with Brexit and Wales standing to lose over £500million a year, I can’t help but feel our country has drawn the short straw. What assurances can the parties offer that Wales will not be a forgotten country?

I'd go for:

1. Given recent tabloid stories surrounding a senior MP, are the politicians on the panel willing to admit that "a propensity towards class A's and athletic rent boys" appears in the essential criteria column of the MP person spec.

2. What does the panel think about the lack of response I've had to the 2000 letters I've sent to our new Prime Minister in which I demand that Lord Ashdown either a) be forced to make good on promises to eat his hat or; b) be imprisoned for life for refusing to eat his hat.

Bonus question:

3. Can we all just agree that this is Thatcher's fault?

Recent boundary changes? Aren't they draft plans?

Apart from the comment already about the boundary changes being a draft, Wales also voted out in the main so Wales hasn't drawn the short straw but is inhabited by morons that happily slit their own throats. Unless the short straw are the inhabitants.

So does lard.

That's just mean :D.

I would love to go to see one live but I think I'd lose my cool with all the clapping. "Great we all like that one. Can we move onto the next person yet?"

There also needs to be a "********" button that allows you to call them out on some rubbish.

One of my questions would be how to address the country's rich-poor divide. Saw something on the Beeb last week saying that the top 1% of earners owns almost a quarter (23%) of the country's wealth. The poorest 20% owns less than 1% of the country. The article then goes to suggest a 20:1 pay ratio as a possible solution. I kinda agree with that, although I'd make it 50:1. This would still allow £1m salaries (especially useful in London), but would get rid of the £8m+ salaries and bonuses that bankers and CEOs get e.g. that Shell guy.

Or just make tax laws less easy to sidestep so even if you are earning such amounts you still pay the correct amount.

I'm not convinced pay disparity is an issue just people not paying their dues.

What does this question even mean?

What recent boundary changes? They've not happened yet and wording the question as if they have just demonstrates a lack of understanding.

I think both questions need rewording. Each time you state things quite categorically when the reality is they are either opinion or simply not true, this is probably why you didn't get picked last time. Keep the questions factual and less emotive and you'll stand a better chance.

Also I think you'll find the people of Wales voted for Brexit, so receiving it with the disadvantages of leaving the EU isn't 'the short straw' its 'the will of the people'.

I'd find it difficult to tolerate so many left wing people.

People earning a salary will most liekly be paying the relevant taxes, its will be taken before they even see the oney through PAYE.

Its the contractors that right-off everything under the sun as a work expense, hire their wife's at extortionate rates as a secretary, work under umbrella companies and get paid dividends etc that need to be chased down.
