I've been scammed what can I do?

No I only received the phone,

the Dock, speakers, PSU, Res (he owed me from before) still have turned up.

So not as described at all.

Hmm, difficult, how much is the phone worth?

Is it in good Nick.

If it's less than £200, you have a point.

I don't know what to do though,

You have three options available.

  1. MTFU, and go ask him face to face what he's playing at.
  2. Go to the police with every piece of correspondence you have and see what they say.
  3. Sit and whinge about it on the internet.

I don't know his exact address I know roughly where he lives.

If you feel as if the police will do something it's definitely something I will do.

I'm not whinging and crying I just don't know my options.

The 950xl on its own seems to go for around 350, maybe he got annoyed with you asking for a load of stuff to be thrown in?id just forget about it

maybe you said something to annoy him.
did you ask for more stuff because the speakers and stuff were late ?

What I would do is go talk to the police, take all the evidence you have, say you aren't expecting a full blown investigation but I'd like to think the police will be sympathetic to the situation and ask them if perhaps they could phone him on your behalf, if a copper speaks to him, explaining they are now involved, what he's done is naughty etc etc it might give him a fright and he'll send the goods.

The only other option would be to drive to his house and bang on the door, ask politely but firmly for your stuff, make it clear you aren't leaving without it.

then poop through his letterbox :D

I feel it's not really about the money but more the principle of the matter.

If it were me I'd be round his house already demanding what I'd paid for and if he doesn't play ball I'd be taking whatever I could have his until he did.

All this hoo-ha over £50?

His behaviour is low class, yours is just sad agonising over pittance tbfh

It's nothing to do with the money really I wouldn't have thought it's the principle of him being a lying scumbag.

Why do people keep saying go to the police??

Surely this is a civil matter and OP should be applying to Judge Judy for a verdict... failing that Rinder might be available..

This is just a break in contract (Verbal) no crime has been committed.

essentially he's been robbed, surely asking the police for at least a word of advice isn't unreasonable?
