It's cause you get all the pop kids wanting to go too because they think listening to Muse is soooo alternative

Otacon said:Didnt realise they were held in high regard myself. I quite like Absolution, but I know a lot of people that dont share my liking for it. Not really taken the time to listen to their other material though.
Indeed, I can't stand them. I really don't see what all the fuss is about.Carzy said:Muse, now there's an overrated band if ever I saw one.

Uh, Muse lyrics are absolutely awful. At least, those on Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry are - I've not listened to Absolution so much. Matt Bellamy can write a cracking riff (or steal one from a classical composer...) and incredibly bombastic, over-the-top songs, and he's a very good kayboard and guitar player. His lyrical ability though is somewhere behind that of a soggy frog.philio16 said:Unfortunately a lot of kids do listen to Muse because theyre trying to be alternative but they don't understand the lyrics or anything behind the music.

Gaijin said:Unfortunately it has also become "uncool" to listen to Muse these days i'm afraid. It is also now incomprehensible that people listen to their music whatever their age because they enjoy it, they only listen to it because they want to be "alternative" or "cool".
Unfortunately the days where good music is dictated by albums sales, sell out gigs, and sheer talent are over.
Muse are guff - roll on coolness.
