they are very very big.

you try getting to a gig. you won't unless u book in big time advance.

It's cause you get all the pop kids wanting to go too because they think listening to Muse is soooo alternative :p

Unfortunately a lot of kids do listen to Muse because theyre trying to be alternative but they don't understand the lyrics or anything behind the music.

I'm a big muse fan myself, and yes I even liked Absolution (of course its no Origin of Symmetry but it was experimenting with a new sound). The new album, which I've heard a couple of live versions of the songs sounds amazing....back to how Muse were in the OoS days.

Uh, Muse lyrics are absolutely awful. At least, those on Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry are - I've not listened to Absolution so much. Matt Bellamy can write a cracking riff (or steal one from a classical composer...) and incredibly bombastic, over-the-top songs, and he's a very good kayboard and guitar player. His lyrical ability though is somewhere behind that of a soggy frog.

It's not the actual lyrics I find interesting, it is what is trying to be expressed by them!

good to hear you have seen the light again :)

But good god, don't put nirvana on, put some descent bloddy grunge on.

Oh and if you don't have it go and buy Temple of the dog's album, best grunge album ever made IMO. If not then just put some alice in chains on.

Unfortunately it has also become "uncool" to listen to Muse these days i'm afraid. It is also now incomprehensible that people listen to their music whatever their age because they enjoy it, they only listen to it because they want to be "alternative" or "cool".

Unfortunately the days where good music is dictated by albums sales, sell out gigs, and sheer talent are over.

Muse are guff - roll on coolness.

Right....

Good music was never dictated by album sales or sell out gigs. Sheer talent maybe, but that doesn't often fit with the first two.

(If sheer talent went with albums sales, you'd be hearing a hell of a lot more jazz in mainstream music tbh)
