I've got a gym routine, but what to eat?

5kg @ £32 isn't £10 per kilo though.

Which is what bulkpowders and MP sell it for ;)

you and your bloody my protein lol

btw though i dont get it right, say i want a strawberry whey shake, 5kgs, i put that in myprotein (in a bag)

And i get 51-96

Now i dont know where that 35 comes from but ill stick to my great tasting ON 100% GS at 1-96 less delivered!

I don't know, I mean I am cutting but im doing it so im doing enough cardio and weights so im balancing it out so im not over-doing cardio and im getting enough weight training to preserve muscle.

I know im not going to gain muscle but I don't expect to if im gonna cut. My only worry is mistakes, for example if im not doing enough of this or that, or not eating this or shouldn't be eating this which would affect the goal in the long term, for example not actually getting what I expect by mid-end of december. Only time will tell but I have a friend whos recommended fat burners and some others who recommend all different supplements such as ones that help you run longer ones that build you up etc. In all honesty, works or not it's not something I'd like to get into using. Im 18, maybe if I was 30 or something but im sure at 18 it's not necessary.

Whey is a different story I guess, but I don't know, and when looking at what your adding that in with on that type of diet, the diet posted above is quite a lot and for example if whey was taken on a diet that isn't like the above I don't know what affects it could give or if it would be useless. Again my diet is simple, it's healthy, has a fair amount of protein and everything else is pretty low, might not be the best in the world but again only time will tell.

Hi there,

right, about 2 months ago I joined the local gym, now having done it on and off for about 2 years, I knew what machines/weights did what, and I was going with my friend whos been weight training for 3 years, he showed me lots of excercises with weights etc.

So I got back into it, eating healthily exercising 3/4 times a week for about 3 hours a time, enjoying it, was gradually losing weight as well and building muscle nicely.

But then work got stupidly busy and it seriously affected m routine, I stopped going to the gym, was having to work overtime at the weekends, was impossible to keep track of a healthy diet, and at the grand old age of 19 I've sprouted a few grey hairs :p

Works calmed down again, and I want to get back into it.

Now I know what I'm doing at the gym, but I was wondering if someone can help me sort out a proper diet, one that gives me everything I need and nothing that I don't need, which will can be maintained without much stress/effort and can keep up whilst working in a busy office 7 hours a day.

Thanks for any/all help :)

Phate.

you didn't state your goals, are you looking to cut or bulk ?

But cut I take it that's the technical term for losing weight? if not, excuse my ignorance.

My goal is to lose excess weight and then muscle tone, I don't want to become massive, just define the muscles I've already got, as I can currently benchpress 60-70kgs.

I'm going to sort a diet out this week for starting on Monday. Going on from Ultra's advice over msn last night, I need to figure out a high protein, low carb diet, which varys over time so I don't get bored of it :)

Anyone got any links for prebuilt diet planners or anything that'd be great :)

Preparation and organisation are the key.

I work in an office, its fairly laid back but cooking or re-heating anything is a non-starter. Each evening i prepare 2 tuppaware type tubs with food. One usually has chicken, rice and veg, the other has snacks, for example tuna and rice, chicken and wholemeal pitta, quark and options ;)

I'll layer the larger tub so that i have rice on the bottom then veg then chicken as one meal, then on top another layer of rice, veg and chicken thats the second meal. When its time to eat just chop down till you get to the layer of chicken :)

Might feel like a chore to begin with but once you get in a routine you'll be fine. You should be able to cook 2 days food in one night which will save some time.
