I've got a new job!

Congrats on new job after leaving a hellhole. I did the same recently and got headhunted into a new role in 2 weeks. Much better company. Same salary but 2 weeks extra holiday which is worth more than the cash for me

Congratulations Greebo. I just read the other thread and wow! But onwards and upwards now. Out of interest, did you go back to your old job after taking time out or did you get out and stay out?

After everything you said about the last place this is great news. I'd like to welcome to you the world of normal officers where you dont work for complete maniacs!

now you have a new job, you should consider your previous workmates by sending your boss a link to the "what would you do?" thread, to maybe make him understand how his attitude and demands impact on his employee's.

ive worked in several places like what you describes, and beleive me im so glad im out of there. theyre horrible working conditions, that make you not want to wake up on a morning to go to work. they force you to not respect the people or place you work for. When I enjoy my job, and i feel they repect me as a person and employee, I work twice as hard and give them the best of me as opposed to someone who just treats me like theres nowhere else in the world i can find another job, and that job is the be all and end all, because so many people allow themselves to get stuck in a rut they think they can **** all over everyone and get away with it.

Nah, stayed off for the duration. Needed to get my head sorted out and get myself fixed. To be honest, as much as it's been a long time, I am glad the new job only cropped up in the last month. If it had been in the first month I don;t think I would have been fit to do well in the interviews and probable wouldn't have gotten it.
