HDD and because of the prices atm I can use it in my new build. Problem is, its got drivers of an old PC on it and files, so how do I go about it? Its also got Vista on "/ I need to clear it. But once I've built my PC.

Windows 7 gives you the option to format the drive during the installation, unless you are using another os or something this is an option?

yeah just format it via disc using win7, XP whatever. XP is a bit more fiddly, but can still be done from bootdisk.

I would use Copywipe which is part of Ultimate boot CD (free) to zero the drive first then proceed as normal. That's just me mind
