This thread sort of convinced me to redo my HSF, so I whipped it off, cleaned of the AS5 which I'd only put on a few weeks ago and used some OCZ Freeze. Normally I always spread the paste on with a stanley knife blade but the OCZ stuff just wouldn't spread properly so decided to go for the thin line down the middle, squish the HSF on and then rotate a few degrees. Boy am I glad I did, idle temps are down to below 40 and load temps now max out at 70. Suppose it could be due to the temps in the room being cooler but made me feel good :D
 
you think thats hot my q6600 idles at 60 with no overclock at all and with an aftermarket aero 7 fan/heatsink on it and 7 fans inside my tower ,gonna have to get some thermal paste and reseat it my self this week when i get time to go to ocuk

On a serious note, remember guys that he has a B3 which will run hotter than the G0.

If TJMax is 95 and the temp is at 65 that still gives 30 degrees of headroom? And CPUs can still operate at TJMax temp anyway, so why would it be considered "that" hot, especially when Intel disclosed TJMax temps for 45nm?
