My PGR has never crashed on me (yet). I'm expecting a crash sooner or later though. Even my orig xbox crashed a couple of times in the 16 months I had it.
I bet loadsamoney hops in here soon when he see's the thread title
Mine crashed the other day while playing a superbowl game in madden 06 nfl, thought it had finally conked out the console but i unplugged it and turned it back on and it hasnt crashed since that day.
Youve gotta remember that these consoles are based even more on PC style architecture than before, and no one moans if they ctd. Not only that but these games are using cutting edge multi core CPU's that even desktops havent got alongside unique graphics architectures. And then on top of that your talking about launch games and demos for christs sake, what do you expect?

Are you saying it's okay if PCs crash? My PC doesn't crash and if it did there would be something wrong. What I expect "for christ's sake" is for a console to work properly, not crash
Fair enough, my Dreamcast has crashed about twice (well, out of all three of them that I've owned, that's two crashes ever between them) and my original Xbox has crashed twice, both times in Street Racing Syndicate so it could just be that game - it froze when loading.
The odd rare crash is one thing but regular ones isn't IMO.
Mine does it, but its reproducable (hence a bug). In Full Auto, don't mess around with the guide while in the multiplayer lobby, or just after a multiplayer race. Haven't had any crashes or freezes outside of the guide in Full Auto MP.
