I think the screen shots speak for themselves...

Its no where near stable, but I've got the screen shot and that's gonna do me fine!! :D

Oh, its on air as well, so I'm even more happy :D

Voltage is fine, temp's aren't huge so its not a problem. Wouldn't run those voltages for extended periods on that cooling but for screenies/pi1m etc its fine.

Nice clocks mate, whats the CPU batch?

i think you will find that even the majority of overclockers on here wouldn't dream of sticking that voltage through the cpu, i personally i wouldn't go more than 1.6-1.65v MAX for a one off suicide shot.

It was fine and it worked :D :p

No smoke, no problems :D Didnt go over 68C I dont think temp wise when Super Pi was running :)

I think its an A batch or something... I just wanted to see 4Ghz from it and I did :D Pleased as cheese now.. Getting her stable to 3.6Ghz or so....

I will say, I honestly dont think Orthos is all that good a tester...

My PC can stay on for hours and hours without a crash and do all the cancer research work I want it to, video edit and still orthos might fail within 10 minutes or 10 hours...

To me, as long as its stable ie it works with no blue screens and plays games and so on, I dont care about Orthos crashing or not :D

I might be the miniority, but I dont get any problems :)

I used to think that too, Prime95 would fail after half an hour or so but everything else was fine, unti slowly but surely I started getting BSOD's and gradually a corrupt hard drive.

I make it a point for myself that I always back up my data whether its just game saves or silly word documents..

I dont care how good a computer you think (general terms here, not just you, anyone!! ;)) has, things can and possibly always go wrong, why tempt fate and not back it up for the sack of a CD or DVD and lots of time and work??

Dont make sense to me...

True enough but, and this isn't a derogatory comment m8, you run cancer research software (F@H?) which if you PC is making incorrect computations as Orthos/P95 failure suggests you could be submitting incorrect results no?

Congrats on the overclock btw, most do not manage to get anywhere near 4gig, stable or not. ;)

I wasnt defending or taking it wrongly, its true, but for some reason, when I'm getting the results checked (as they all do) I dont normally get any back saying error. If they dont work for the lenght of the task, then its not stable, whether its 1 hour or 10 hours, its just a way I've always tested and I've never had bad results. But when running Orthos, for some reason, it fails and the PC seems perfectly stable to me, when doing everyday tasks I use the PC for. Dont you find that weird tho??

And not being completely dumb, but what actually is Orthos? What does it do and how is it showing me or anyone that something is stable?? (I'm interested to find out!! :))

If it does make a wrong calculation, it will simply, stop the task and upload and say, task failed (in short) so the I wouldnt get points for it either ways. Or failing that, seeing the result (I make sure I'm there before it uploads if its gone wrong, I'll just abort it) I wouldnt let it upload bad results knowingly...

I must admit, I'm very happy with the speed of it, but who needs a CPU that fast anyways? I guess its just bragging rights more than anything, but I managed it :D

Well, i'm glad others agreed with me regarding the volts.

Congrats on the oc - I should have said this and then accompanied it with a comment about the volts, my apologies.

Its not a problem :) I know it was higher than it should have been, it wouldnt have made the PC work any better if it would have gone higher, but its worked and thats all I needed it to do :) Its sat at 3.61Ghz now with 1.55vcore (bios set) and I'm not getting a load temp of over 60C..

BUT....

I have the case side off, 2 120mm fans connected (1 at front and 1 at rear) and the PSU one. Its no where near being optimal for a start ;)

Its going to get better rather than worse :) Will post up the results of the temps...
