Ivy Bridge...How much?

I think (for me personally) a 2700k is a better bet :)

I'm not thinking these Ivys are as good as I thought and rather annoyed I waited so long for them

According to the Anandtech review the list price from Intel of the IB processors are cheaper by between $15-£20.

Core i7 2700K $332
Core i7 3770K $313

Core i5 2550K $225
Core i5 3750K $212

Obviously you'll have inflated prices due to availability but they should settle about the same.

IMO going by $price and prior SB UK prices i5 should be £170 max and i7 £250 max. Does anyone actually think it's worth more?

If i could afford extreme cooling i'd say it would be worth more but I couldn't afford more than the Silver Arrow i already have so i'll be sticking with the 2500k regardless of the price.

...roll on the sandybridge price drop "please" I hung on with my old AMD waiting for Bulldozer release so I could buy a Phenom II at knock down prices... and they became very rare, very expensive, VERY quick!

I've switched to Intel ...gone a little higher up the price band looking at a 2500k with the hope that I'll see a price drop on Ivy release :( but Ivy seems to be flopping for the enthusiast end of the market; is a 2500K/2600K suddenly going to become more prized and start inflating as stock draws down?
