**IVY BRIDGE IN STOCK & AVAILABLE NOW!!**

Good to see I made the right choice with the Samsung Green. I'll admit they are a bit above where I expected considering the RRPs had them costing less than their SB counterparts but not so much that my choice of SB/IB is immediately made. However, that stuff about the TIM, I'm just reading about it now, I'm always wary of being an early adopter so I'd like to know a bit more about that before I take the leap.
 
I've finally finished ordering my parts :)

Anidees AI-6B to replace my ageing and broken front USB ports Antec P182 and I think it looks really cool!!

3770k - Replaces Q9450

MSI Z77A-GD65 - After some good reading up I settled on this as don't need any of the extra features on the UD5H or the ASUS boards, could maybe do with maybe some extra USB3 ports but as I don't even have a USB3 device yet not so big of a deal lol Have always been a Gigabyte owner so sure a few changes to get used to!!

4x4gb of the Samsung Green - nuff said :)

Pre-ordered the Phanteks PH-TC14PE in black - estimated in 30/04/2012 so fingers crossed, got the trusty Tuniq Tower 120 at moment, hopefully this is a little bit easier to fit!!

Gonna use my old PSU, Corsair Force GT SSD and my 6870 till the wallet recovers a bit!!
 
Prices are about where i figured (i actually thought they would be tenner dearer) performance about what was expected so far nothing has come out to make me regret going 2011 hopefully it stays that way as i have now bought the cpu lol.

Indeed, I noticed this. Unfortunately its usual practice here... I was going to order a 2600k and they put the price up and then this. Sorry ocuk but I'm taking my motherboard and cpu order elsewhere.

Edit : PS you're no longer the cheapest either.
 
I had hoped you'd reply gibbo and perhaps work some magic - am somewhat disappointed that you haven't and have chosen to ignore this to be honest.
 
WOO!! my 3570k arrived today and a quick cinebench run tells me that it scores 3x as many points as my g620 did :D





also, I'd like to thank the ocuk for sending me a small packet of tangfastics, got me through the process of replacing my old cpu :cool:

Gibbo/OCUK offer us launch discounts, a few days later the price goes up by £8 on top of £249.99... to what is still a reasonably competative price... and your complaining? :confused:

I can't figure out why that would cause you to take your business elsewhere.

Unless you're just having a e-hissy fit to make your e-masculinity appear greater?

It's your own fault for not buying when the price was lower :rolleyes:
 
Step away from your keyboard young warrior. What irritates me is the 'we're starting the price low' and not much more than a day later its gone up. It's still sub 250 at other places.

A few days later would be reasonable, my point was the price went up the day after the sunday launch, or to put it another way, the price went up the first day you could pick them up from the shop.

Indeed. Would have been better imo to state it was some type of special 24 hour only price.
