I am thinking on getting a i5 3570k processor. I plan to overclock it later when I get a watercooling loop but for the time being it will run at its stock speeds.

What I have heard is that it runs very hot and that you should get an aftermarket cooler. At the moment I have no money for this.

So what I want to know is that if I am playing crysis on full for a couple for hours will it spontaneously combust.

Thanks.

Of course it will. The flame will also be big and hot enough to cook your dinner.

Joking, the problem only occurs with high overclocks. On stock it's perfectly fine.

I would get a fire exstinguisher to be on the safe side as well.

As Orcvader mentions it will be fine, the cpu will throttle before any damage is done.
