About This Game
IXION combines city building, survival elements and exploration, into a thrilling space opera as you explore the stars. Propelled onwards through a perilous journey, you are the Administrator of the Tiqqun space station, charged with finding a new home for humanity.

Keeping the station sound and flying will require a deft hand and strategic thinking, as you are constantly pulled between maintaining hull integrity, bringing in new resources and managing power consumption.

What choices will you make when confronted with impending disaster? What will you discover out there in the dark?

Trying to catch up on games like this I have missed. Was playing Anno1404 and fancied a more futuristic one (not anno), most my searches end up with early access demos and very little actually releases properly.
This looks good but yes not really like anno at all.

Been hankering for a new game that will actually grip me for months.

Anyone know if this is mentally complex? I don't have the time, attention span or inclination to sit for hours to learn how to play a game these days, so am acting a bit like goldilocks, looking for a game which is complex and interesting enough to be worth buying for replay ability, but not have a vertical learning curve and so much micro-management that I buy it and don't get into it

Really interested in this, however, there are lots of steam reviews that think it needs balancing in order to be fun. Also, reviewers are saying it is a hard game to play. So I will defo wait until a patch or two has dropped.

I've heard this called Frostpunk in space by some reviewers. Well that's me sold then!

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, hadn't heard of it before and was waiting for Frostpunk 2.

Added to my wish list. Will probably grab it in a years time once I can get it for a tenner or less. Well mainly because I have a bunch of other games to complete and no rush.

Played about an hour and a half tonight and getting into it. I've read the tutorial notes and yeah I'm now understanding construction and the 3 different views available to use. Resource management and tech research. It's going well. Looks good too, and plays perfect (here's looking at you callisto protocol). Be interesting to see if it gets hard or becomes a grind or anything like that later on.

its my weekend game but im a little worried i wont be able to play with a 1650..
picked up frostpunk today as well so if it does fireup frostpunk it is i guess unil i can upgrade

I'm really liking it so far, definitely.

I like the twist near the beginning (you may have seen it in reviews but I won't spoil it here) and the exploration method is cool. I've opened up sector 2 and with 6 sectors of the Ixiom I have a feeling it may make people feel a bit queasy shifting between them all! I like it though, I think it defines and shapes the spacecraft.

If you like games like Frostpunk and the Anno series then I think you'll like this game.

I've left the known galaxy...

The game does have the story to keep you in.
