J batch 5820k

Is there even a stock cooler for 5820k?

Nope, no stock cooler with X99 CPU's, and now the K series Skylake chips.

Regarding batch numbers, seems most recent chips regardless of number or batch are doing well. I do wonder if they stopped cherry picking specifically for the 5960x and using whatever chips they have as we are nearing Broadwell-E anyways.

My J batch needs more than 1.32v to run at 4.5, runs hot (even on water). I keep it at 4.45 at 1.28v, temps get up to 80'c during aida64.

you might as well try different bios versions. And you should also try to overclock it with different traps. But yeah I doubt it would make much of a difference. Feel sorry man :(

7 J batches in the last 2 months or so did 4.4Ghz at 1.3v prime AVX 2 24hr stable. 4.6Ghz 1.3v if I cheated and used older primes. Quite happy with the 4.4 result, one chip passed 24hr at 4.5 1.325v but air cooling was not quite up to it and the client was happy at 4.4Ghz.[/
