I've not really come across this manufacturer before (although I do realise now that some of the OcUK value range have been J&W). How good are they in comparison to the main players?

I'm not keen on the SATA ports (90 degree is best) and I hate gimmicky labels like 'silentcool' (that sort of thing reminds me of the fatality branding, etc). But I do like the colour scheme and the two digit status indicator is great (something I liked from Epox). Generally a nice layout.

Worth a read, and very informative. The JW boards imo are extremely good value and you get a lot of board for your £. JW are also solid O/C's. Personally I like JWs boards layout. Nothing fancy or elaborate. Simple design with a nice clear socket area in comparison to the more well known brands. No fancy cooling pipe system that is marketed and associated with other well know brands such as Asus, resulting in poor contact with the chipset creating overheating problems due to both poor design and quality control.

On a personal level my only regret is that I never purchased one of the JW boards. But JW is most definitely a motherboard that I would not over look and would be the first motherboard of choice over a well known brand. OcUK should seriously reconsider restocking JW motherboards as I would certainly purchase one.

yes they should particauly the P45s as i bet it would b cheapper than a P5Q and that would be ideal for a few people I know

It is silent (coz no fan), and it helps to cool the chipsets and the VRM,

He's not unhappy with the cooling, he just thinks the branding is tacky. Just put a sticker that says "J&W" on it or leave it plain and beautiful. After all, they're copper and they won't tarnish.

I think "Silent-Cool" is much better than "Fatality"?
